All students create a story and selected students will share their stories via a video conference linkup.
Your story might be an extension of an idea from one of the Getting Started activities or a totally new idea.

Step 1: PREPARE Prepare the students for the task of Telling a Story.
Expose the students to examples of Stories being told. This could be a professional story teller, recorded story, a local character good at telling stories.
Engage in Story Starters and/or Group Story Activities.

Step 2: PLAN: Create a storyboard.
Your story plan could be to make a picture book, create a written story, record an audio story or record a video.Create plans in a Story board format.

Step 3: PRACTICE: Practice telling your story
(i) in front of an audience and ask them to provide you with feedback.
(ii) In front of the video conferencing unit – get used to your position in the camera and seeing yourself on TV..
(iii) via a point-to-point video link up with another school and ask the audience to provide you with feedback.

Step 4: PUBLISH: Publish your story
All student stories can be published online the platform used by the school. Formats could be text, picture book, audio or video. Posters could be developed. Digital formats are many and varied.
Important: Students should be given the opportunity to Publish in the format that best suits their ability and interest, there are great opportunities for peer assistance in this part of the program.

Step 5: PERFORM: Perform your story


(i) Selected students from each school will present their stories via a video conference with partner schools.
This needs to be organised and structured. You will find recommendations in text and video on this website.
